Introducing New Music Celebrating History And Honoring Service
Letters From The Front is a new musical work for four voices and piano. Composed by New York composer Patrick Zimmerli with libretto by Mirabelle Ordinaire, this song cycle is based on letters sent by service members and their loved ones during wartime. Each piece on the recording is based on an actual letter written during one of our nation’s most crucial wars, including the American Revolution, the Civil War, World War I, World War II, Vietnam, and the Gulf War. The recording of this new work will be released in the summer of 2026 to celebrate the 250th birthday of the United States. In addition to the recording project, our creative team is working on scheduling live events.
